The colossus from the center of the city continued it's path of terror in the direction of Krasa and Kyu. Pokemon of all varieties began dashing down the narrow pathway, allowing little movement outside their current flow. The Milotic tried desperately to turn around and run with the rest of the pack, wriggling and writhing as much as possible, but to no avail. In fact, this struggle for survival tripped up a passerby Zangoose, who immediately pushed his face out of the snow, and turned to yell at the serpentine.

"Oi! What do you think you're doing?" the Cat Ferret Pokemon shouted, as a Sigilyph slowed itself to a stop above his head.

"I can't move!" Krasa screamed in a terrified reply. "My body can barely handle land! Trying to flee in the snow is hopeless."

"Can't that... two tailed Fennekin burn you a path or something?" Kyu lowered her head in dismay, having her true identity be confused with another.

"But the flames might hurt another Pokemon out here. I don't want to be held responsible for that!"

The Zangoose put a claw to his chin, then said practically to himself, "Oh wait! This might count for qualifications!" He pulled the Sigilyph down to his height and whispered something into it's ear. With a nodding motion, the Sigilyph and Zangoose made their way to Kyu and Krasa. "Alright, we're going to help you two outta the city. I'm going to need you to focus most of your weight on my friend here," the Cat Ferret gestured first to Krasa, and then to the Sigilyph. "Crystal is just much stronger than me. I'll bring up the rear, and your little fox friend can ride on my back to the finish. Sound good?"

Krasa took the moment to think things over, but quickly realized that if she didn't take up his offer, she would most likely doom the both of them. "Sounds fine by me." Crystal came close to ground level, allowing for Krasa to slither her way up onto the Psychic/Flying type, and make one full wrap around the odd shaped body of the Sigilyph, all without blurring it's vision. Krasa felt her tail be lifted over the Zangoose's shoulder, and Kyu hopped aboard his back.

"Alright, Crystal. Time to get moving!" The normal type shouted from the back. The Sigilyph flapped it's rather thin wings rapidly, and began the run once more, taking off at an incredibly quick speed, considering the weight it was bearing. The Zangoose must have not lied, Crystal could carry a lot of weight. However, the Zangoose kept up just as fast as the relic leading it, as if they were running at the exact same pace. The thundering steps of the colossus began to fade just slightly with each stride of the duo, as Krasa and Kyu were successfully being transported away.

The edge of the city drew near, as Krasa could see the forest and thick fog of the outside world. Just before that mess, however, was a small camp of refugee-like Pokemon, all huddled together and scared witless of the statue rumbling towards them. Crystal and the Zangoose dropped Krasa off here, and Kyu jumped off the Cat Ferret's back. Krasa took this time to thank her saviors, saying, "Man, I can't thank you enough, uh..."

"The name's Max." The normal type said, clearing the muddy water. "Crystal and I make up Team Impact. Rescuing you was only a part of our orders from the Hunter's guild."

Krasa opened her eyes wide at the mention of the guilds. "Wait, they assigned you an order to save civilians?"

"Well, yes. It only would be fair for the civilians to live, would it not?"

This could be the opportunity of a lifetime for the Beautiful Beasts! A chance for a first impression on the guilds! Krasa took advantage of Max's knowledge to find out about her specific desires, "Um, do you per chance know if the Researchers are conducting any help-the-city projects right now?"

Max scratched his chin once more, trying to remember any detail regarding anyone outside the Hunters. "Well, I think they were supposed to meet here. I'm sure if you find a Reuniclus anywhere around here, you'll be set. She runs the Researchers, if I've heard right."

Krasa searched the surrounding area, finding the afore mentioned gelatinous blob with a red bow on it off in the corner of the designated rescue area. She turned her head back to her rescuer, and said, "Thank you, Max! Much appreciated!"

    "Heh! No problem!"

Krasa quickly turned towards the Reuniclus, sweeping underneath Kyu with her tail, and forcing the much smaller Pokemon to board her tail end. "Alright Kyu! Here's our chance to help out!" Kyu groaned, but was merely accepted as a comply by Krasa. She was too excited for work to even accept disapproval from her teammate.

The Milotic barely stopped in front of the Psychic type, having developed too much momentum from her rapid slithering towards the target. Having abruptly caught the Reuniclus's attention, Krasa asked, "Say, are the Researchers doing anything to help the city?"

The Multiplying Pokemon held out her hands, and pushed slightly back on the over-excited Pokemon waiting at her heels. "Yes, we are, but I'm waiting for more Pokemon to arrive. So, you'll just have to sit and wait, missy."

Krasa obediently slithered backwards, and stooped herself lower than the higher ranked official. Here, she would patiently await the arrival of more Researchers, and begin her journey as one herself. Kyu crawled up to the Milotic's head-spike, and put herself into the typical position she was found in while with Krasa, just sitting atop the serpentine's head, holding the eyebrow reigns. The Vulpix said softly to herself, "This better not take long..."

-------------------------------------------------------

The gelatinous blob put her hand to what would be the bridge of her nose, if she had a nose, and cringed. Krasa could barely hear what was supposed to be unheard, "I can't believe this is all we got out of the Pokemon here."

Krasa couldn't deny, the amount of Researchers willing to help was pretty minuscule. There were four teams, including their own. One team consisted entirely of a Banette, who seemed to be the only Pokemon in the entirety of the city who wore an article of clothing, outside of the guild leaders of course. Granted the article of clothing, a necklace, looked eerie, almost as though it was alive. The Banette could even be seen talking to the necklace at times. However, the Banette still was a team, whether he was alone or with the necklace, and he led Team Eroteme.

The second team seemed a bit more stable than the Banette. This team, Team Dawn, included a Flaaffy, who commonly was seen spacing out and looking to the sky, and a Drifloon, way too happy and curious for her own good. The sheep does make up for the Drifloon's curiosity by being the biggest stick-in-the-mud that Krasa had ever seen, but both still seem to be of some worth.

Lastly, there stood Team Wishful Healing. This team included two of a kind Pokemon, a Skitty and a Kirlia, both rather silent. Krasa only knew their team name because that was the only question they were willing to answer. Otherwise, the duo remained in mystery to the serpentine.

The Reuniclus took her bulbous hand away from her face to begin the ceremony. "All right, Researchers! Glad you could all come, even if our quality must outweigh our quantity this time around," she began, gaining the attention of the four teams. "I am Chelle, your guild leader, and we need all of your help in order to be successful today." Chelle referenced down to a Sandshrew wearing a blue head wrap. "This is Flint, the genius inventor of a machine we can use to stop the golem."

Flint took this time to step up and make a note about his machine. "The machine is designed to jam the energy from the 'spirit core' from getting to the main engine of the golem, so it won't destroy the entire city. The machine itself isn't built yet, and the pieces must be transported to the city to be built. My Swoobat friend, Solstice, will be overlooking this. As for how to actually operate this machine, we're going to need to attach some nodes to the body of the statue, but it must be A. in a blind spot, and B. without being noticed by the statue. I don't want the statue to notice that the nodes are there, or else it might try to pick them off, and not allow for the machine to actually work. As for not being seen, well, that's kind of obvious. I'm pretty sure none of you feel like dying today."

Chelle stepped in, knowing Flint had described everything that he needed, "So, I'm going to need you all to split into two groups, which I've now devised based on my observations. I want the Kirlia, Flaaffy, Drifloon, and Milotic to bring the pieces to the edge of the city and build it. The Vulpix, Banette, and Skitty should attatch the nodes to the golem's body." Kyu wore a terrified expression, realizing she would be split from Krasa for the first time in her life. "Now, let's split up! Builders go with Flint, and runners come with me."

Kyu hopped off the serpentine's head, and gave her a hug. Krasa in return, wrapped her body around the kitsune's body, trying her best to make the Vulpix feel comforted. Krasa whispered into Kyu's ear, "You'll be fine, trust me. You're strong, and you can do this."

Kyu hugged tighter, not wanting to let go of her mother. However, Krasa realized she had to go and unwrapped herself from the fire fox. She wriggled, forcing Kyu to lose her grip on the serpent-like body, and she followed the shrew out to the entrance of the city. Kyu tucked her two tails between her legs and turned around towards her team, finding herself face first into the Banette's body. The Marionette Pokemon looked down on Kyu, who pulled herself out of his hollow cloth body as quickly as she could, breathing heavily in pure shock. "Don't worry little one! I'm here for you!" he tried to coax, feeling the amulent eye on his necklace.

    "That's what I'm worried about..."
This is why I hate being gone for so long. Sure, the Christmas break allowed me to hang around my Christian family, but I've been dying to write this, and now I think I slightly ruined the second half... oh well! Deadlines are coming!

Anywho, this is part two! I like to rhyme, and I do it all the time!

Apologies in advance to Wolven-Bane, for I don't have a good grasp on your characters... but I needed Researchers
All Researchers will be in Part 3 as well, if that wasn't obvious enough.

If you had needed help you could have just asked ^^ Sahara is likely to answer just about any question, she's a kindhearted Pokemon whose always looking for more friends. Razor is the perfect example of a bodyguard. He's also mute, so he's not likely to speak a word. I know this is probably a bit late for you to utilize ^^;
